1. Your application will be processed by Project Skye. It usually only takes a few days but can take longer if we’re waiting for your references. If you have questions about the status of yours, please send a polite and understanding email to INFO@PROJECTSKYE.ORG

2. When processing your application, we will contact your landlord, veterinarian, and personal references. We may also contact you for further information and/or to schedule a home check. Please have patience while waiting for a response. You can speed up the process a little by getting your pet policy in writing — landlord approval is usually the main holdup.

3. If approved, you will be notified by Project Skye. You’ll have a FaceTime meeting first so you get a chance to chat with your prospective pup’s foster family, and if that goes as well as we expect it to, you move on to the in person meeting/adoption.
