About Us

Beth Redmond

Beth Redmond has been a devoted dog lover her entire life, but the deepest inspiration for her work came from her beloved Yorkie, Skye, who lived to be 20 years old. Caring for Skye through his senior years opened Beth’s eyes to both the joy and the challenges that come with aging pets — the extra attention, the emotional weight, and the significant financial commitment required to give them comfort and dignity at the end of their lives.

After experiencing firsthand the profound bond that forms with a senior dog, Beth realized how many older pets are not as fortunate. Many lack owners who have the resources, time, or support to care for them through their twilight years. In honor of Skye, and driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference, she co-founded Project Skye, a charity dedicated to giving senior dogs a second chance at love, safety, and quality of life.

What matters most to Beth is ensuring that every senior dog touched by Project Skye receives the same compassion, comfort, and devotion that Skye did.

Beth currently lives in Tribeca with her 3 year old mini goldendoodle, Tenor.

Tatum Hogue

Tatum is an Alabama native who has spent the past nine years building a life in New York City, now settled in Tribeca with her fiancé and trio of beloved dogs.

She is the co-founder of Project Skye. Creating a nonprofit dog rescue has been a dream since childhood, rooted in her lifelong love of animals—cats, dogs, horses, and just about every creature she’s ever met. She was especially inspired by her 15-year-old former foster, Marlee, now a cherished family member who helped shape the heart of Project Skye’s mission. Alongside him, she cares for her one-year-old yorkie, Pepe, and her nine-year-old mini schnauzer, Ralphie, who she rescued when she first moved to the city.

When she’s not advocating for senior dogs, she can be found at pilates, on horseback, or exploring new wine bars around the city.
